I believe your story holds extraordinary power.
The stories we carry shape how we see ourselves, how we move through the world, and what we believe is possible. When left unexplored, they can keep us stuck in patterns of fear, self-doubt, or survival. But when we learn to understand and reclaim them, our stories can become a source of healing, resilience, and transformation.
My own journey has taught me this firsthand.
Having navigated complex trauma, anxiety, and life’s unexpected challenges, I understand what it means to rebuild from difficult experiences. Along the way, I discovered that healing is not simply about recovering from pain—it’s about growing through it. Through the process of post-traumatic growth, I learned that adversity can become a catalyst for deeper self-awareness, greater courage, stronger relationships, and a more meaningful life.
One of the most profound chapters of my story began when I became a single mother by choice at the age of 47. That experience deepened my understanding of vulnerability, resilience, hope, and the extraordinary capacity we all have to create lives that reflect our values rather than our fears. It reminded me that joy is not something we find after life’s struggles are over—it is something we can cultivate alongside them.
My professional path has been shaped by a deep commitment to helping others discover the same possibilities within themselves. As a college professor, I had the privilege of witnessing the powerful stories of my students. As an actor, I explored the human experience through storytelling. Today, as a therapist, workshop facilitator, and speaker, I create spaces where people can safely explore their own narratives, uncover their strengths, and reconnect with their authentic voice.
I am passionate about holding space for the stories that often need to be told before healing can begin. Together, we can make sense of the experiences that have shaped you, identify the resilience that already exists within you, and discover new pathways forward. I believe that when we learn to befriend ourselves and embrace our full story—not just the parts that are easy to share—we open the door to lasting growth, greater joy, and deeper self-compassion.
You are more than what has happened to you.
You are resilient. You are capable of growth. You are worthy of joy.
And your next chapter is still being written.
I would be honored to walk alongside you as you create it.
I am a psychotherapist, educator, and creative. I hold a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Masters in Speech Communication and Theatre Arts. I am a licensed professional counselor, and a certified experiential therapist with a background in sand tray therapy, EMDR, and the expressive arts. Additionally, I studied professional performance in New York City and Los Angeles at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. I love traveling, writing and discovering cozy coffee shops.
For the past several years I have worked extensively in trauma recovery, post-traumatic growth and resiliency. I specialize in adults who are looking to process through trauma; this includes recovery from childhood sexual abuse as well as depression and anxiety in their various stages.
A few years ago I sought to expand my story through Motherhood and became a single mother by choice to my sweet girl at the age of 47. My pregnancy, while smooth, catapulted me unexpectedly into menopause. As a psychotherapist and complex trauma survivor I was familiar with navigating the complexities of mental health; however, I was caught off guard: menopause had hijacked my body and I was left floundering with a newborn.
I was suddenly battling low mood, irritability, heightened anxiety and rampant forgetfulness — as well as an onslaught of physical changes that included night sweats and weight gain. I am a trauma expert and yet I was unprepared for this dramatic shifting that altered my relationship to self.
As I explored ways to manage my own symptoms, I saw a lacking within the perimenopause and menopause community — there were limited safe spaces for women struggling with their mental health to feel understood, supported, and known.
Whether you are exploring trauma recovery, struggling with anxiety or navigating the crashing waves of perimenopause or menopause, there is hope. I am passionate about helping others know that post-traumatic growth, healing and joy are possible. Please know you are not alone in this process. I’d love to come alongside you in this important work.
